The Nasdaq Composite, S&P 500 and Dow industrials all gained 1% or better Wednesday on word the Trump administration might slash tariffs on Chinese imports in a bid to end its trade war with Beijing.
The $Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$ led the way higher, gaining 407.63 (2.5%) to 16,708.05, while the $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ added 88.10 ticks (1.7%) to 5,375.86.
